At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight Kenneth Merriman, who recently used his CTO to serve as a featured speaker at the Ouachita Children’s Center’s Rooted in Accomplishment event!
The Ouachita Children’s Center is a non-profit emergency shelter and crisis intervention agency serving minors between the ages of 6 and 17, including young people who are homeless, runaways, or neglected. The organization provides a safe place and a support system for children navigating some of the hardest circumstances a young person can face.
Community Spotlight: Kenneth Merriman Speaks at Ouachita Children’s Center’s Rooted in Accomplishment
Held on July 28th, Rooted in Accomplishment gave community members the chance to give back to a group of young people who may feel as though they have been forgotten or thrown away. The event was built around encouraging youth to recognize their own growth, stay grounded in their character, and celebrate their achievements.
Kenneth participated as a guest featured speaker, leading student sessions along with SEL (Social, Emotional Learning) activities throughout the event. His sessions focused on helping the young people in the room see their progress clearly and take pride in how far they have come.
Kenneth brings more than 15 years of experience in youth development and mentorship to work like this, and his commitment to it is deeply personal. He wants to leave behind a legacy of “what’s possible,” inspiring young people to stay rooted in their potential while continuing to grow into who they were created to become.

“We all have a story to tell, but most need the confidence to share it with others,” Kenneth shared.
