At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that our greatest impact happens when we work together. We proudly recognize employees who use their Charitable Time Off (CTO) to support organizations making a meaningful difference in their communities. On March 12, 2026, eight dedicated team members from our Orem, Utah office coordinated their CTO to volunteer together at the Special Olympics Utah Unified Basketball Tournament held at Utah Valley University (UVU).

The mission of Special Olympics Utah is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Unified Basketball Tournament brought together high school teams from across the region for an incredible day of spirited competition, teamwork, and joy.
Keeping a massive sports tournament running smoothly requires a lot of energy, and the Inszone Orem team stepped up to ensure everyone was well-fed and ready for the day.

Working as a group, the team took charge of the event’s luncheon. Natasha Barriga managed the logistics, organizing sandwiches into boxes so the participating teams could easily grab their meals and take them on the go. Aly Bowen, Lisa Garner, Rebecca Fisher, Clare Nielson, Emily Barlow, Jake Bowen, and Vivian Samudio all worked together to serve the food, feeding hundreds of hungry athletes, hardworking officials, and fellow volunteers throughout the busy day.

For many on the team, the opportunity to serve at this specific event carried a deep personal significance:
- Jake Bowen and Natasha Barriga both shared that the volunteer opportunity was incredibly close to their hearts, as both have family members with special needs. Jake noted that he has always loved working with special needs children, making his time spent with the athletes immensely rewarding.
- Emily Barlow was deeply moved by the pure sportsmanship on the court. She shared how heartwarming it was to watch kids kindly hand the ball to their opposing teammates just to give them another chance to shoot.
- Clare Nielson beautifully summarized the atmosphere of the day, noting that she loves any opportunity to interact with the special needs community because “you will not find a more joyful or genuine group of people.”
- Aly Bowen and Lisa Garner were instrumental in the team’s planning. Lisa noted the ladies in the office signed up months in advance to ensure they could help out, while Aly, who was participating for the first time, was delighted to see the athletes fully in their element.
- Rebecca Fisher and Vivian Samudio both checked off a major personal goal. Rebecca shared that the Special Olympics is an organization she has always wanted to support, while Vivian stepped out of her comfort zone to volunteer with the group for her very first time!

We commend the entire Orem team for their proactive planning, outstanding teamwork, and compassionate service. At Inszone Insurance Services, we are incredibly proud to support employees who embody our core values of kindness and inclusion through our Charitable Time Off program.
