At Inszone Insurance Services, we proudly recognize employees who dedicate their time to making a difference in their communities through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program. Recently, Mark Curry volunteered with the Garland County Habitat for Humanity, providing support during their annual Women Build event in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit that works to ensure everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. Through community partnerships and volunteer labor, Habitat builds and repairs homes for families in need, helping them achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. The Garland County chapter plays a vital role in improving local housing access, bringing together volunteers, donors, and partner families to make homeownership a reality.
The Women Build event is a weeklong initiative where teams of women from local businesses and organizations come together to build a new home—from roofing to exterior framing—by the end of the week. Each day, a different volunteer group contributes to the effort, uniting the community in service and teamwork.
Mark supported the event by providing lunch for volunteers, as he has done for the past five years. Each year, he brings his large grill to the build site, cooking burgers and hot dogs for the hardworking crews. His generosity fuels both the volunteers and the mission, helping the teams stay energized as they build homes and hope for deserving families.
Beyond his role at this event, Mark has been involved with Habitat for Humanity for more than 15 years, serving on—and now chairing—the Family Selection Committee. In this role, he helps identify and select partner families who will receive assistance through Habitat’s homeownership program. His long-standing commitment reflects his belief in Habitat’s mission to offer “a hand up, not a handout.”
“Habitat gives deserving families a hand up,” Mark shared. “Sometimes, they’re the first in their family to ever own a home. It’s an incredible feeling to see how these homes change lives—and honestly, I feel like I get blessed more than I expect every time I volunteer.”
We commend Mark Curry for his leadership, compassion, and dedication to serving others through Garland County Habitat for Humanity. At Inszone, we’re proud to support employees like Mark who make lasting impacts in their communities through our Charitable Time Off program.
