At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight Yasmeen Cofield, who recently used her CTO to volunteer at the Colorado Black Arts Festival!
The Colorado Black Arts Festival (CBAF) is an annual celebration that gives people of color a stage to showcase their talent across the arts. It offers a vibrant opportunity for different cultures to share themselves with the state, honoring and uplifting Black culture in Colorado through creativity, music, and community.

Held on July 9th and 10th at City Park in Denver, the festival draws thousands of visitors each year. Attendees come together to enjoy food, music, live painting, hairstyling, and so much more, turning the park into a lively gathering place that celebrates artistry in all its forms.
Yasmeen dedicated her time to keeping the event clean and welcoming for everyone who came through. As a volunteer, she made sure the park stayed tidy throughout the festival, and she also helped sort waste to recycle as much as possible. It is the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps a large event running smoothly and leaves the space better than it was found.
Yasmeen’s connection to the festival is lifelong. As a Black woman in Colorado, she has been attending since she was a child, and seeing the arts, food, music, and painting each year has long been one of her favorite parts of the season. Now, as an adult, she gets to give back to the event that shaped her.

“Being able to see the various arts and talents has been one of the funnest parts of the year,” Yasmeen shared. “Now as an adult I can actually contribute to the event by making sure it stays clean during and after. This event has inspired me to be open and free and share my art and talent with the world.”
We are incredibly proud of Yasmeen for giving her time to an event that means so much to her and to her community. Thank you, Yasmeen, for representing Inszone’s core values and helping keep this beloved celebration thriving for the next generation!
