Inszone Insurance Services is proud to highlight employees who use their Charitable Time Off (CTO) to support meaningful causes in their communities. On December 24, 2025, Ryan Butler volunteered at The Crossing, a food rescue program in St. Joseph, Missouri, that provides essential support to families facing food insecurity.
The Crossing operates a food pantry that partners with local grocery stores to collect food that would otherwise be discarded and make it available to families in need. Open every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the organization relies heavily on volunteers to set up, distribute food, and assist families who arrive by car or on foot. Volunteers work from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., ensuring that the pantry runs smoothly and efficiently.

During his volunteer shift, Ryan stocked boxes with food and drinks and distributed supplies to families curbside and at the walk-up station. His participation reflects a deep personal connection to the organization. The Crossing is located in his wife’s hometown, and his father-in-law has volunteered there weekly for years. Ryan, his wife, daughter, and 8-year-old son regularly join in when visiting family, making service at The Crossing a meaningful tradition.
This particular visit held special significance, it took place on Christmas Eve. For Ryan, serving others during the holiday season felt especially important. “Being able to help families on a day that means so much to so many is something I’m grateful for,” he shared. “It’s a privilege to give back, and I’m thankful Inszone encourages us to make a difference in our communities.”
