At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight David Accurso, who recently used his CTO to volunteer at Church of the Resurrection’s summer Vacation Bible Camp!
Church of the Resurrection is a United Methodist religious organization that serves its congregation and the surrounding community. Among its many ministries is a summer Vacation Bible Camp designed for elementary school-aged children who attend the church, giving them a week of learning, activity, and connection during the summer months.
Community Spotlight: David Accurso Volunteers at Church of the Resurrection’s Vacation Bible Camp
Held from July 13th through July 16th, the camp welcomed young children for several days of lessons and hands-on activities. It is the kind of program that depends on dedicated volunteers to run smoothly, and David was glad to be one of them.
David spent the week volunteering in a first-grade classroom, helping guide the children through their lessons and activities each day. Working with kids that age takes patience and energy, and David’s presence helped make sure the youngest campers had the support they needed to enjoy the experience.
David’s connection to the church runs deep. He has attended Church of the Resurrection for most of his life and regularly serves in its children’s ministry throughout the year. His involvement in the Vacation Bible Camp is a natural extension of a commitment he carries year-round.
