On December 12, 2025, Amy Garland participated in Wreaths Across America, an annual event dedicated to honoring and remembering those who served in the United States Armed Forces.
Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization that coordinates the placement of wreaths on the graves of veterans at national cemeteries across the country. The organization’s mission is to Remember our fallen heroes, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom and sacrifice.
Community Spotlight: Amy Garland Volunteers with Wreaths Across America
Amy volunteered at the DFW National Cemetery, where thousands of donated wreaths were carefully laid on gravesites to honor veterans and their families. The event spanned two days and brought together volunteers from across the community, including veterans, families, and supporters, all working together to ensure that every service member’s resting place received a wreath.
“This event is especially meaningful to me because I have three family members laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery,” Amy shared. “It was my first year to fully participate — not only through a donation, but by personally laying wreaths to honor those who served.”
