At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight Bethany Holmes and Gariann Sveback, who used their CTO to take part in the annual FMES Walk-A-Thon!

The FMES PTO supports the students, teachers, and staff at Fort Madison Elementary School, funding classroom supplies, educational and STEM materials, field trips, and teacher appreciation. Its fundraising fills the gaps that keep kids learning with the tools they need.

The Walk-A-Thon, held on October 20th, is the PTO’s biggest annual push. In the weeks leading up to it, students and families collect donations and sell event shirts. On the day itself, the entire school and their families gather at the high school track to recognize the top donors and spend the afternoon walking together.

Bethany collected monetary donations ahead of the event and spent the day walking the track alongside the students. Gariann helped her daughter gather donations in the run-up, then joined the walk and handed out waters to the kids as everyone made their way around the track.

Both women point to the same reason for showing up. For Bethany, the school serves a community where the need is real. For Gariann, whose daughter attends the elementary school and takes pride in helping others, it comes down to making sure every child has what they need to learn.

“This really benefits the kids to keep up with modern technology and educational materials,” Bethany shared.

“It’s important to me that children are well educated and have all the supplies needed to learn, and this helps assure that all the children have that chance,” Gariann added.

We are incredibly proud of Bethany and Gariann for turning a day at the track into real support for their local school. Thank you both for representing Inszone’s core values and helping give these students every opportunity to succeed!

If you are an Inszone employee interested in participating in the CTO program, please contact HR to learn more about how you can get involved.
