At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight Matthew Houtz, who used his CTO to support the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence’s Shop with a Hero and Golf Ball Drop fundraisers!
Community Spotlight: Matthew Houtz Supports Shop with a Hero and the Golf Ball Drop
The Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (BCCADSV) provides shelter and programming for victims of domestic and sexual abuse. The organization also offers supportive housing, advocacy, support groups, and housing for homeless teens, along with a child advocacy center serving children who have been victims of sexual abuse. It is a vital resource for families throughout the community.
On August 28th, the coalition held two fundraisers back to back. Shop with a Hero raises funds for an annual dinner and shopping experience that pairs those affected by domestic and sexual violence with local law enforcement. The Golf Ball Drop supports the general account for the Shelterhouse, helping keep the organization’s core programming running.

Matthew worked registration for the outing and golfed in the event himself, then transitioned to the golf course for the Golf Ball Drop, where he ran registration and helped keep things moving. As board president, he was involved from start to finish across both events.
Matthew has served on the BCCADSV board since 2018 and currently leads it as president. He sees the coalition’s programming as an essential piece of the community, and the stakes are especially high right now. The organization is facing potential funding cuts of up to 30 percent in the coming year, which makes every fundraising effort critical to keeping its programs alive.
“The programming that is offered is such a vital piece of our community,” Matthew shared.
