Drew Higginbothom

Drew Higginbothom is an Agency Partner at Inszone Insurance Services, joining the company in March 2026 after the merger of Smith & Company Insurance. He began his professional career in 2007 with Ramsey, Krug, Farrell, and Lensing before joining Mark Smith in 2011 to form Smith & Company Insurance, Inc. Over the next 14 years, they expanded to three locations and more than tripled their staff size. Drew brings 19 years of industry experience, focusing on commercial risk with expertise in row crop farms, commercial agriculture, financial institutions, and aviation risks. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Additionally, he has earned the CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) and CLCS (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialists) insurance designations.
In recognition of his contributions, Drew was named Distinguished Young Alumnus by the UALR College of Business in 2008 and received the Big I of Arkansas Young Agent of the Year Award in 2018. In 2026, he was honored with the Allan Kennedy Memorial Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas (Big I Arkansas), awarded annually to an agent who has given immeasurable time and service to the association and community. His local leadership includes past service as president of the Rotary Club of Forrest City and the Forrest City Country Club. He currently serves as chairman of the St. Francis County Community Foundation, on the board of the Forrest City Chamber of Commerce, and on the finance committee of the First United Methodist Church of Forrest City. In 2024, Drew served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas, representing more than 400 agency members and partners.
Drew was a former collegiate golfer at the University of Arkansas and still enjoys spending time on the golf course with his three daughters. He aims to continue helping grow the Inszone organization throughout Arkansas and the Southeastern United States.
