Shannon Marchesani is a Personal Insurance Specialist at Inszone Insurance Services, joining Inszone in November 2022 following the merger with Brinch Agency Insurance. Shannon has worked in the Insurance industry since 2000, focusing on personal lines. In 2017, she obtained her Michigan Property & Casualty license. Shannon enjoys being part of a team and working with her clients to maintain their Insurance needs. Shannon is committed to providing her customers with quality customer service.
When asked to share some words about Shannon, Jennifer Turner, who is Inszone’s VP for Missouri and Shannon’s direct supervisor, said, “I am incredibly proud to have the pleasure of working with Shannon. She is a great communicator and always provides exceptional customer service. It has been exciting to watch Shannon’s confidence grow over the past year. Shannon loves the saying ‘Be a Pineapple: Stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.’ It is her positive attitude that embraces our Inszone clients when they visit our Michigan office. We are grateful every day to have her on our team.”
To get to know more about Shannon, we asked her a few questions about her and her time in the Insurance world:
Q: Tell us about your start in the Insurance Industry
A: I began my career in the Personal Lines Insurance Industry in January 2000. I had just completed High School and was looking for a job when a friend of mine told me about an Independent Insurance Agency that was looking for a receptionist. I applied for the position and was hired immediately. That was the start of my Insurance journey.
Q: What qualities do you have that make you a “great” Insurance agent?
A: My main focus as an Insurance agent is to always provide quality customer service. I take pride in building relationships with my customers, listening to their unique situations, and providing them with the best coverage that suits their individual needs.
Q: How did you come to the conclusion that the Insurance Industry is a good fit for you?
A: This industry keeps you very busy, it’s constantly changing and you’re always learning new things. I think for me, it’s the customer relationships and taking pride in helping people that made me realize this was a good fit for me.
Q: If you could sit down with your younger self, what is one piece of advice you would share?
A: If I could sit down with my younger self, the one piece of advice I would share is to take time to enjoy the little things, life moves at such a fast pace, and we need to slow down and take it all in.
Q: What’s something you do outside of work that would surprise your co-workers and clients?
A: I have a passion for make-up and in my free time, I love doing bold, colorful make-up looks. When I am not at work, I like to fill my free time up with reading and crafting. I also enjoy spending time with my family, we love going on adventures, bike riding, and hiking along trails. We also enjoy going to concerts and festivals. The Renaissance Festival is one of our favorites and we attend this multiple times a year. I also love watching movies and binge-watching a good show.
Q: What interested you in a career at Inszone?
A: My journey with Inszone began in November 2022 through an agency merger. I have always worked for small independent agencies and transitioning to a larger corporation made me very nervous. This of course did not last long, I soon realized that Inszone provides the same small agency feel. Inszone has allowed me to work successfully in this industry. Inszone also takes pride in its employees, providing them with endless resources to expand their education.
Q: What quote keeps you inspired in your day-to-day life?
A: My family are the ones who keep me inspired in my day-to-day life. However, two quotes do come to mind; “Everything happens for a reason”, and “You’re always where you’re supposed to be”. These are quotes that I have heard many times over the years and seem to hold truth.
