Mellissa Cruz is a Personal Insurance Specialist at Inszone Insurance Services, joining the company in March 2023 after the merger with Corbett & Associates Insurance Agents & Brokers. She attended Moorpark College focusing in general education and Radio Broadcasting. She is licensed in property and casualty and has nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry. In addition, she has experience in real estate as an escrow assistant and real estate assistant.
One of Mellissa’s strengths is her ability to maintain excellent relationships with her customers. She takes pride in being outgoing and always striving to make the customer happy. Mellissa also has a strong work ethic, which is reflected in the quality of service she provides to her customers.
During her free time, she loves being out in nature, especially near water. She enjoys spending time at the river, beach, pool, or any other body of water. She is also fond of playing sports, hiking, traveling, trying new things, and visiting new places. Mellissa values spending time with her family and friends and cherishes every moment shared with them.

I don’t know where to begin to express my gratitude to Melissa. She got me out of a huge and scary mess caused by Travelers Insurance. Briefly, they cancelled the coverage on my rental property. They made a mistake during the renewal process which meant that my property had been uninsured for several months. Today, weirdly, several months after the fact, I got notice that my policy had not been reinstated. I freaked out called Melissa right away. She called Travelers. Melissa was on the phone for over three hours trying to get an explanation for the non-renewal. She told me that they gave her the runaround and she did not back down. Melissa fought for me and countered them at every point when they tried to weasel out of their responsibility. She eventually after realizing that the person she was talking to was useless was able to talk to an underwriter who agreed with every point Melissa brought up. She had backing for everything. My policy was immediately reinstated and I can rest assured now that all is well thanks to Melissa. I’m so fortunate to have her as my agent. She really went to bat for me today and I appreciate it very, very much. Give her a raise!
