Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager
Mary Kay Wagner is a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager at Inszone Insurance Services, joining the company in August 2025 after the merger of Dodge City – Parker-Haskins Insurance, Inc. After college, she was hired to underwrite commercial business at Western Insurance, Fort Scott, KS and then at American States, Fort Scott, KS. She has been in the insurance industry since 1983, first working for Western Insurance and then working for American States doing underwriting. In 1987, she headed west and started working on the agency side. She has been with Parker Haskins Insurance for 37 1/2 years. Mary Kay graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in finance and a minor in economics. In 1995, she was awarded Certified Insurance Counselor after completing five courses and passing the testing in the CIC program. She works well with people and enjoys helping them understand the policies. She has a strong work ethic and has always worked with commercial lines and farms, being knowledgeable especially with farm, irrigation, and work comp. Mary Kay and her husband have a farm which helps her understand the needs of the farm. She keeps up with her CIC designation through continuing education.
For client focus, Mary Kay believes it is important to visit with clients and inquire about their needs. She understands that insurance is designed to insure against the “ifs” in life and it is important to meet those “ifs” through insurance. Through interaction with clients, she strives to understand their needs and handles a person’s insurance like what she would do for herself, remembering that pricing matters as well.
In her free time, Mary Kay enjoys traveling with her family and spending time at the lake when possible. She has been very involved with 4-H in past years, serving as a community leader for several years. She is actively involved in her church and stays busy when not working in Dodge City by working at home or at the farm. Hosting family dinners at the holidays is always enjoyable for her.
