This month, please join us in congratulating Monika Torrez, our Employee Spotlight for the month of October!
Monika Torrez is a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager at Inszone Insurance Services. Since starting in 2010, Monika has accumulated over a decade’s worth of knowledge from experience in the insurance sector. Monika takes great pride in assisting her customers in selecting the insurance coverage that aligns perfectly with their needs, ensuring her clients leave with a deeper understanding of their insurance options.
When asked to share some words about Monika, Sharon Aragon, who is Inszone’s Commercial Account Manager Team Lead and Monika’s direct supervisor, said, “I’m so proud of Monika and her hard work and persistence. Monika never gave up even through some tough times and is one of my most loyal and trusted Senior Account Managers. She takes pride in her work and truly cares for her customers and her agency. Monika is a team player, and we are lucky to have her on our Inszone Team.”
To get to know more about Monika, we asked her a couple of questions about her and her time in the insurance world:
Q: How did you get into the Insurance Industry?
A: My profession chose me; my journey commenced immediately after high school graduation. Initially, I joined an independent agency as a receptionist and found myself deeply drawn to the field. Following my college education and returning home, I joined Allstate and swiftly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a personal line agent for a prominent agency. I consistently ranked among the top ten producers in the Colorado Allstate division during my tenure.
Q: What do you think has made your insurance career successful?
A: My passion for working with people and nurturing customer relationships has been vital. I take great satisfaction in ensuring that my customers fully understand their coverage. Beginning as a Broker Agent, I relish the opportunity to assist individuals in saving money while fostering enduring client connections.
Q: What would you like to be doing if you were not in insurance?
A: If I were not in the insurance industry, my dream would be to work as a school counselor or social worker, given my educational background in Sociology.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time within the insurance industry?
A: I envision myself five years from now as someone who continues to expand my expertise, acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Q: What do you do in your personal time?
A: In my personal time, I like to engage in various activities. I cherish moments with my family and friends, indulge in kayaking adventures, and explore thrift shops for unique finds. Additionally, I’m an avid consumer of movies and Netflix sitcoms for entertainment. Car shows and competitions, particularly drag racing, also pique my interest.
Q: What made you want to work at Inszone?
A: I was drawn to working at Inszone primarily because of the company’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the needs of its customers. My journey with Inszone began through an agency merger, and I’ll admit I initially had reservations about transitioning to a larger corporation. However, I soon realized that my concerns were unfounded.
What I’ve come to appreciate most about Inszone is its dedication to customer-centric values. The emphasis on continuous education and mentoring here has not only improved my skills but has also made me a more proficient agent. The supportive environment and focus on professional growth at Inszone have exceeded my expectations, and I’m proud to be a part of a company that truly values its employees and customers alike.
Q: What quote keeps you inspired in your day-to-day life?
A: “Everything happens for a reason. The good and the bad things all lead you to where you are meant to be.”
