Employee Spotlight: Sarah Breitzman

6 January 2026

Here at Inszone, one of our missions is to make sure that every employee is appreciated, acknowledged, and recognized for their achievements. This Employee Spotlight series aims to celebrate success and highlight the talented individuals we have at Inszone, Cover Cannabis, and California Pool Association. Each month we’ll be featuring Inszone employees on our website, blog and social accounts.

Please join us in congratulating Sarah Breitzman, our Employee Spotlight for the month of January!

Sarah Breitzman, a Senior Benefits Account Manager, re-entered the insurance industry after initially working in life insurance sales and recruiting more than a decade ago. In 2023, she joined Get Benefits Insurance as an Executive Assistant, which led to re-licensing and a transition into individual insurance and Group Account Management. Her path reflects a full-circle moment—returning to an industry she once left and building on past experience to grow into an expanded role.

Sarah’s success is rooted in a diverse background that spans customer service, administration, management, recruiting, and sales. Known for her positive mindset, adaptability, and team-first approach, she embraces change as a challenge rather than a setback. During the Inszone merger, Sarah focused on learning new systems, supporting teammates, and maintaining a collaborative environment. Her sales background, interest in workflows and procedures, and ongoing leadership training allow her to add value beyond her role and contribute to team and client success.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, gardening, cooking, and traveling back to Illinois to reconnect with loved ones. One of her proudest accomplishments is returning to the workforce after several years focused on raising her children and finding a role that brings both fulfillment and growth. With strong mentors, a solid work ethic, and a passion for continuous improvement, Sarah is excited about the opportunities ahead.

When asked to share a few words about Sarah, her direct supervisor, Randy Hunt, along with Tim Kanter, Benefits Sales Team Manager for leadership comments, provided the following:

Randy Hunt said, “Sarah is, Hardworking and a positive example for the rest of the team. She is willing to take on new challenges and displays great leadership abilities. Sarah is eager to learn more about Inszone and its leadership, as well as learn more about the insurance products and services we offer our group clients. She strives to offer outstanding service to her clients and has built a level of trust that will keep them coming back to Inszone for their insurance needs. It is a pleasure to work with Sarah and a privilege to have her as part of the Benefits Team.”

Tim Kanter shared, “Sarah joined my team just over a year before I merged my agency with InsZone. Originally hired as an assistant, Sarah proved early on to be a very quick learner, hard worker, and an extremely loyal and dedicated team member. She quickly went from assistant to an account manager and was easily given responsibility for some bigger accounts because of the quality she demonstrates with everything she does. I could always count on her to take care of our clients and to go over and above. Sarah always looks for what is best for our clients, best for our team, and best for the company. And as soon as I merged with InsZone, Sarah immediately showed her full support. She makes our clients feel taken care of, makes me look good, and makes InsZone shine. I couldn’t imagine not having her on our team.”

Q: What initially brought you to the insurance industry?

A: Insurance Health & Group Benefits is more of a Re-entry into insurance as I had done some Life Insurance Sales and recruiting 12 years ago. I was not planning to get back into insurance; however, I started with Tim at Get Benefits Insurance in 2023 as his Executive Assistant which then led to me getting re-licensed and migrating into individual insurance and then Group Account Management.  Interesting how life sometimes brings us back around to where we started…

Q: In what ways do you think your unique background or experiences contribute to your success in your role?

A: I have been accumulating experience and ‘tools’ since the age of 13 when I started going to work with my dad. I have held many diverse jobs over the years, including waitressing and being a pizza hut delivery driver in college. I have helped manage small businesses and staff. I have a foundation of experience in Customer Service, Administration and Management paired with Team Building, Recruiting and Sales. I cannot just work for a paycheck, I am always striving for growth and need that personal satisfaction in a job well done. All of this has led to the opportunities I have had, the decisions I have made and the journey I have traveled.

Q: Can you share a particularly challenging situation you faced in your career and how you overcame it?

A: Let’s use the obvious example that many here can relate to… The Inszone merger! Many of us have all been through the natural highs and lows of this transition. It would have been easier to complain and resist the changes, however, having once had a boss who always repeated the mantra of “There are no problems, only challenges and solutions” I decided to go with that. I tried to only speak positively and be curious even when things were new and frustrating. I tried to learn the new Epic system quickly and understand the Inszone workflows and procedures so I could also help out my coworkers and better assist my clients. I focused on the positive changes and tried to remain fluid and flexible, step away when feeling overwhelmed, and I leaned on my Team and Leadership to come out stronger in the end. As a Team we maintained a positive environment which has led to our combined success with Inszone.

Q: If you could describe your approach to teamwork in three words, what would they be and why?

A: Positivity (Most important factor to motivate & overcome), Educate (not Dictate. If you don’t understand what you are doing you will not achieve the correct result), Trust (The Foundation of Success for all).

Q: What do you think sets you apart, and how does it benefit your team?

A: Most of our roles shifted and evolved when we merged with Inszone and because I have a Sales background, paired with a hunger for making more money, it made it easier for me to shift from just Account Management into more upselling to our clients and meeting production goals. I personally enjoy understanding work flows and writing procedures and I often share these with my Teammates. Recently I have been going through Leadership Workshops and adding those strategies and techniques to my ‘Toolbox” so I can grow and better serve our clients.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence or mentor in your life, and what valuable lessons have you learned from them?

A: Sorry…I can’t name just one… Overall my parents instilled in me the strong Midwest Work Ethic I have.  I would say my overachieving Salesman Dad prepped me for this exact job by making me his ‘assistant’ when I was young as I watched him and I learned about business. My Mom who nurtured, supported and lifted my up at all the right moments. My 5th grade Teacher Mr Johnson, and my 6th Grade Teacher Mrs Lawrence.— There are a lot of layers to go into there but they gave me the confidence to be me.

I have a good friend and Business Owner, Heather, who’s business advice has always been gold. Heather has a motto for workplace issues:  “address your problem directly within 48 hours or make peace with it”.
Most recently (since re-entering the workforce after caring for my kids for several years) I feel that 2 of the most influential mentors of my current career would be Tim Kanter and Shane Canter. These 2 knowledgeable professionals lead by actions, not just words, and demonstrate every single day how to succeed. They work tirelessly, value their families, and personally invest their time and knowledge with their Teams. I would not love my job as I do if it weren’t for them and the environment they have created.

Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career so far, and what did it teach you?

A: Right this moment! I took several years off of work to raise my sons and then Covid hit so when I started looking to return to work I wasn’t sure what I should do, or even what my worth was. I am someone who works very hard and I take my responsibilities seriously so I knew I couldn’t just work at any job, I needed to find something I enjoyed doing and that allowed me to feel fulfilled. Since joining Tim a Get Benefits in 2023 we were able to find me a role that fit. The Inszone merger a year and a half later has since allowed me even more opportunities to grow and succeed in my career. Right now life feels good and I see many possible futures, I am just excited to see how far I can go!

Q: What are some hobbies you do outside of work that you enjoy?

A: Spending time with my Family, I was assistant coach to my son’s soccer team last season. I often go camping with my husband, 2 sons and 2 dalmatians. California is great for Hiking, rockhounding, gardening, cooking & eating!  I generally enjoy being around people and often fly back home to Illinois to re-connect with my Family and Friends.

Sarah, your hard work, leadership, and positive spirit make a lasting impact on your team and the entire company. We’re grateful for all you do and are proud to celebrate you this month!
