Here at Inszone, one of our missions is to make sure that every employee is appreciated, acknowledged, and recognized for their achievements. This Employee Spotlight series aims to celebrate success and highlight the talented individuals we have at Inszone. This month, please join us in congratulating Patty Cicogni, our Employee Spotlight for the month of August!

Patty Cicogni is a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager in the Commercial Lines Department here at Inszone Insurance Services. With nearly a decade working in the insurance industry, Patty brings incredible knowledge and expertise to the Inszone family. Since joining Inszone in 2012, Patty has been a ray of sunshine and an integral part of the team. Not only is she a a true team player who demonstrates a “can-do” attitude, she also works hard to build ongoing relationships with our clients.

Early on in her insurance career with Inszone, Patty began to take on more of a leadership role, leading the Certificate Department to ensure all Certificates of Insurance were properly dealt with and in a timely manner. Today, Patty is one of Inszone’s Senior Commercial Lines Account Managers. In her current role, she is responsible for assisting our customers in identifying their insurance needs, and determining the insurance options that provide the best value for their business. Her hard work, enthusiasm, interest, and love for what she does have enabled her to soar high and earn the “Employee of the Year” award in 2016.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working Patty over the last 9 years, I can truly say she always goes above and beyond to meet our clients expectations. Her work and dedication is outstanding, we appreciate her and are lucky to have her on our team!” said Yuritzi Valdiosera, Commercial Account Manager Team Lead and Patty’s direct supervisor.

“If there is one thing I can say about Patty, it’s that she makes it her life mission to get answers. This unique skill makes her a valuable asset to  the company and our clients. We call her “Patty, the All Knowing” because even if she doesn’t know the answer, she will figure it out and figure it out quickly- regardless of the obstacles that stand in her way,” added Natalie Fanin, VP – Commercial Lines Service and the head of the Servicing department.

To get to know Patty a little better, we asked her a couple of question about her and her time in the insurance world. Here’s what she had to say:

Q: How did you get into the insurance industry?

A: I was a full-time student and fell into a Property Telesales position with Inszone Insurance, and quickly grew into a lead in the Certificate Department, gaining the nickname of “certs whisperer”. I then went on to train and develop our back-office staff on certificates of insurance and quality control. Once our resource department was built out, I transitioned to be an account manager and then promoted to senior account manager.

Q: What qualities do you have that make you a “great” insurance agent?

A: I have intimate knowledge of the insurance process, from intake to the sale, to servicing and certificates. This gives me the advantage of being a one stop shop for my clients. I have a lot of patience, and I am a visual person, so I like to explain insurance visually with screenshots and arrows and lots of highlighting.

Q: How would you define success?

A: I feel that success is providing solutions for our clients. For every solution I provide, I am adding value to our services, which translates into sales and retention. l like to educate our clients in coverage gaps they may have, to make sure they have the knowledge needed to make an informed decision. That is how I would define success.

Q: What makes you proud to work in the insurance industry?

A: I take pride in making a difference and consistently adding value for my clients and building relationships. Knowing that I play a part in working in an industry that can help people protect their business from hazards and risks is extremely rewarding.

Q: How do you balance your career and family?

A: It’s extremely important to have a work/life balance as this is a stressful industry. I like to spend a lot of time with my family, having a meal together, swimming or just hanging out.

Q: Can you share us your personal quote that you live by?

A: “Integrity is everything.”

Q: In your personal time, what do you do?

A: I have been a volunteer for American Red Cross for over ten years and love it! I volunteer on several teams in the Disaster Workforce. Once we get back to in person assistance, you may see me on KCRA3 on the next disaster Telethon. I enjoy helping people, so I am always busy with one of those tasks. When I have downtime, I like reading, gardening, baking and spending time with my nieces.
