Here at Inszone, one of our missions is to make sure that every employee is appreciated, acknowledged, and recognized for their achievements. This Employee Spotlight series aims to celebrate success and highlight the talented individuals we have at Inszone. This month, please join us in congratulating Israel Sepulveda, our Employee Spotlight for the month of June!

Israel Sepulveda has been a valued member of the Inszone family for almost five years and serves as one of our Senior Commercial Insurance Specialists here at Inszone.

Israel began his professional career in the insurance industry in 2005 with a focus on personal insurance and switched his focus to commercial lines when he joined Inszone in 2017. His start in insurance came as a surprise, as he was in between jobs at the time got an interview with an insurance agency and the job fell into his lap, the rest is history. Since then, Israel has made every effort to learn and improve himself, and in turn pass his knowledge and experience to his customers. “It has not always been an easy road, but I would have to say it was worth it,” says Israel, when he reflects upon his more than 16 years in the insurance Industry. His hard work and motivation have made him one of Inszone’s top agents, being at the top of the sales board multiple times, and earning Inszone’s Rookie of the Year award in 2018.

When asked to share some words about Israel, Norma Villafranca, who is one of Inszone’s Commercial Sales Team Managers and Israel’s direct supervisor, said, “My words can never be enough to praise Israel’s actions; the hard work and talent he brings to the table always exceeds my expectations. His clients are continually impressed by the solutions he provides and results he delivers. I want to thank Israel for being someone we can always count on. I’m so grateful for all his hard work and his consistent positive attitude. He plays a crucial role in our team’s success.”

To get to know Israel a little better, we asked him a couple of question about him and his time in the insurance world. Here’s what he had to say:

Q: How did you get into the insurance industry?

A: It all started in 2005,  it kind of fell into my lap.  I was in between jobs at the time and had a friend that was already working in the industry that was able to set me up with an interview. From there I started in Personal Lines, and eventually found my way to Commercial Insurance.

Q: What qualities do you have that make you a “great” insurance agent?

A: I would have to say my Honesty, Confidence, and Motivation. I think these are key to have a good relationship with customers, which in turn help one be successful as an insurance agent.

Q: How would you define success?

A: That is tough, I think success comes in many different ways, from small day to day wins, to huge life achievements. I think when you look back at your past years and see that you are making progress, whether small or big, if you are moving forward, that is progress for me.

Q: What has been your most successful sale?

A: You know, I don’t think I have just one. I would have to say every sale has been my most successful sale, without my clients I would not be able to be where I am at today. So each sale is as important as the next.

Q: What makes you proud to work in the insurance industry?

A: The feedback from the client, having a client say, “I trust you, thank you for your help and expertise”, that means the world to me. I get to help clients protect their business and the things they have worked so hard to build, it’s very humbling.

Q: How do you balance your career and family?

A: It can be hard sometimes, but I try to find a way to disconnect from work and enjoy my family time. We all know sales can be stressful, and I want to make sure I’m always there for my customers, and that means finding a way to disconnect and replenish energy to give 100% when I’m at work.

Q: Can you share us your personal quote that you live by?

A: “If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.” – Bruce Lee

Q: In your personal time, what do you do?

A: On my spare time I like to spend time with my family, mastering my dad jokes, playing video games, studying martial arts, and playing pool.
