Employee Spotlight: Amanda Miller

11 February 2025

Please join us in congratulating Amanda Miller, our Employee Spotlight for the month of February!

Amanda Miller is a Benefits Account Manager at Inszone Insurance Services, joining Inszone in June 2024 after the merger with Catalyst Benefits Group. With over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Amanda specializes in offering administrative support in the small group market segment, addressing service issues, and managing Insure Oklahoma services.

When asked to share some words about Amanda, Juli Kraft, who is a Benefits Team Lead at Inszone and Amanda’s direct supervisor, said, “Amanda is an excellent Account Manager she is always willing to take on new challenges, and her ability to work with all types of clients has a significant impact on our success. She is always positive, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile. No matter the time of day, she is consistently available to offer support, ensuring that our clients receive the best service possible.”

To get to know more about Amanda, we asked her a couple of questions about herself and her time at Inszone:

Q: What initially brought you to the insurance industry?

A: In 2006 I was approached by our insurance agent at the office I was working at and asked if I would be interested in going to work with her. I remember her being so outgoing and talking about the industry and how she loved going out to meet new people and talking about what she loves to do. I took a leap of faith and went to get my insurance license and started right away. I was there only a few months and the girl who trained me left to pursue something different and I remember panicking thinking how am I going to do this by myself? I jumped right in and started making calls to all the reps and had to figure it out. A year flew by, and I maintained the 50 groups and remember thinking, ‘wow, if I can manage those by myself without knowing anything in the industry, I could do anything.’ So, I stuck with it and grew to love it more and more.

Q: In what ways do you think your unique background or experiences contribute to your success in your role?

A: Being organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once has always done me well. Having empathy and understanding for our client needs is the most important. Each client is different and it’s sometimes the challenging factor that makes it fun/interesting. Having effective communication and being able to go into a room and talk to 5 or 100 people is what I love. I also thought I would be a teacher growing up because my grandma was one amazing teacher and to this day everyone thought I would follow in her steps, because I love to explain/learn new things.

Q: If you could describe your approach to teamwork in three words, what would they be and why?

A: Supportive – Providing assistance, encouragement and offering guidance when I can. Patient – Not stressing out and trying to figure out the problem and actively working with others to help figure out a solution. Inclusive – I want everyone to feel valued and to have a voice when working on a project. In our office everyone has different strengths/weaknesses – that’s what sets us apart from others and why we are such an amazing team.

Q: What do you think sets you apart, and how does it benefit your team?

A: Having the ability to quickly adapt to various types of tasks, from answering questions to offering creative solutions. With our team I feel like I can help streamline communication, offer fresh perspectives and together we compliment all the strengths of a great team.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence or mentor in your life, and what valuable lessons have you learned from them?

A: While there are many that come to mind, I have to say my parents are at the top. They are the most caring and thoughtful people who would do anything for you. All my life they have always been my biggest cheerleaders. From all my mistakes to all the joys in my life, they’ve always maintained being positive and seeing the good in me. Today, that love, and support has carried over to the woman I am today. I wake up every day and want to see the love and greatness in everyone. You learn from your mistakes and never regret anything. My faith also plays a huge role in my daily life, and I always put full trust in him as he’s always guided me in the right direction.

Q: What are some hobbies you do outside of work that you enjoy?

A: Being a wife and mother. I’ve been married for 12 years and have two beautiful children – Kinley 10 and Finn 2. They are my world and keep us busy. We love to travel and do anything outside; the beach is my favorite spot. We attend Christ the King and love our church/school community.

Amanda, your dedication, and focus have been key to the success of your team and the company. We’re excited to see your continued success!
