At Inszone Insurance Services, we’re proud to celebrate our team members who generously dedicate their time to serve their communities. Recently, Colleen Bourgeois volunteered her time at the Bainbridge Island Rotary Auction and Rummage Sale, a beloved community event organized by the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island.
On July 12, 2025, Colleen, alongside numerous volunteers, assisted in setting up more than 30 different sale departments across classrooms, parking lots, tents, and athletic fields. The event involved accepting drive-through donations over several days, followed by sorting, cleaning, testing, pricing, and displaying these donations. This highly anticipated annual event draws thousands of attendees and last year successfully raised over $700,000 to support local, national, and international charitable causes.
Colleen has actively participated in this event for the past decade, involving her children and fostering valuable community connections and experiences. “The Rotary Auction is an incredible opportunity for personal growth, especially for younger participants,” Colleen shared. “It offers teenagers meaningful interactions and mentorship beyond teachers, coaches, or parents. Additionally, I truly value the event’s commitment to sustainability through its ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ philosophy.”
This event holds special significance for Colleen and her family. Her daughter utilized her extensive volunteer experience at the auction to enhance her college application, including taking on a leadership role in 2019.
We are grateful to Colleen Bourgeois for her long-standing dedication and enthusiastic support of her community through our Charitable Time Off program. Her consistent participation exemplifies Inszone Insurance’s commitment to community engagement and service.
