As we commemorate another milestone anniversary at Inszone, it’s with great pleasure that we highlight the journey of one of our esteemed team members, Sara Evans. Her story, rooted in determination and resilience, serves as a testament to the spirit of growth and opportunity within our company.
Sara’s journey began back in 2010 when she and her mom co-founded Mosaic Insurance, with the intention for Sara to eventually take over the agency. However, in 2019, with the added responsibilities of motherhood, Sara’s aspirations shifted. Recognizing the need for a new direction, Sara and her mother began exploring options to transition their agency to a company that would honor the legacy of what they had built. After meeting with various firms, it was the unwavering passion and forward – thinking vision of Chris and Norm at Inszone that resonated most with Sara and her mother. This led to the acquisition of Mosaic Insurance by Inszone in 2019, providing Sara the opportunity to continue her career while affording her mother the choice to retire or remain with the company.
Initially, Norm and Chris engaged with Sara, delving into her extensive insurance background. Having previously established her own agency in Coeur d Alene, ID, and honed her skills as a corporate trainer in Washington, Sara’s potential was evident to them. Eager to excel, Sara immersed herself in every facet of Inszone, from serving as a personal lines producer to learning the responsibilities of commercial lines account manager. This comprehensive approach allowed Sara to gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of each role within the company. As a result, she takes pride in her deep understanding of the organization, confident in her knowledge of what each position entails. Sara finds reassurance in knowing that the VPs are equipped to handle any challenge, as they too have traversed similar paths of growth and development within the company.
In October of 2019, Sara ascended to the role of Arizona State Manager for Inszone, marking a significant milestone in her career trajectory. Sara finds the most fulfilling aspect of her role during the acquisition process, where she encounters new team members apprehensive about transitioning to a new company. Guiding them through this journey, she takes joy in revealing career paths they never imagined, and witnessing their eventual success brings her the greatest satisfaction. Sara’s standout experience at Inszone has been going through the acquisition process. Her inaugural acquisition project, Benson, was a significant milestone where she delved into the process from its inception to its completion.
Sara holds a strong conviction that Inszone’s distinctive culture and abundant opportunities set it apart from other companies in the industry. Notably, a significant portion of Inszone’s workforce has joined through acquisitions, a testament to the company’s commitment to internal growth and development. “I believe in Inszone’s leadership ethos, which is deeply rooted in nurturing talent from within,” states Sara. “We foster a culture where individuals can ascend through the ranks, offering authentic opportunities for advancement and personal growth.”
When reflecting on the most influential figure during her tenure at Inszone, Sara singled out Pat Grignon, her first manager at the company. “Pat’s guidance was truly pivotal for me; he emphasized the importance of gaining experience in various roles before mapping out my career path.” “Pat provided me with a clear roadmap, outlining the steps I needed to take, and remarkably, every milestone he predicted came to fruition,” she recalled. Sara continued, “I truly appreciate how Pat leverages my strengths while also pushing me to grow in areas that need improvement. This dynamic has been invaluable in my professional development.” In addition, Sara emphasized that her own leadership team in Arizona has had significant influence over her, as their passion and determination inspire her to strive for excellence daily.
When offering advice to newcomers at Inszone, Sara emphasized the importance of trusting the process and immersing oneself in the company’s culture to understand its nuances. She constantly encourages new hires to forge connections within the organization and seek out mentors who have navigated similar experiences.
