This month, please join us in congratulating Jose Vidrios, our Employee Spotlight for the month of September!

When asked to share some words about Jose, Pat Grignon, Inszone’s VP of Business Development and Jose’s direct supervisor, said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jose since 2005. Over all the years, he has epitomized the winning spirit! He lives by a strong work ethic and a maintains an incredibly high desire to be successful. We’ve always been able to count on Jose to be reliable, helpful and a great example to his peers. In addition, he has consistently been the top salesperson in personal lines year after year. Hard to find a better combo than that!”
“Well-deserved my man, congrats you earned the spotlight! Thanks for all you do, we appreciate the hell out of it!”, he added.
To get to know Jose a little better, we asked him a couple of question about him and his time in the insurance world. Here’s what he had to say:
Q: Tell us about your start in the insurance industry?
A: I came from a background in financial loans earlier in my professional career, I was then referred by a family member to Cost U Less Insurance where I began my career in insurance. I found the insurance industry to be a great fit for me, it was challenging and rewarding at the same time, with lots of opportunities to grow.
Q: What excites you about insurance?
A: I enjoy learning about new products in the insurance industry and finding solutions to hard situations. In an industry whose foundation is managing risk and preventing loss, nothing is more rewarding than to be able to help my clients protect what they’ve worked so hard to create.
Q: What has been one of your proudest moments in the insurance world?
A: Being awarded with the Sales Achievement Award, that was a big moment for me. It was a recognition for my hard work, but it motivated me to stay focused on my goals and strive to be better. Definitely one of my proudest moments.
Q: How do you lead the way for our clients?
A: Learning about my clients’ concerns and relating with them on a personal level. One thing I’ve learned in this industry is that if you want your customers to trust and respect you, you need to earn it, and you do that by proving your dedication to making them happy.
Q: If you were not in insurance, what would you like to be doing?
A: If I was not in the industry, I would love to be in the business of importing and exporting classic and exotic cars.
Q: What is your career goal?
A: My career goal is to create and develop a team who will strive for success, while also continuing my development and growth in the insurance field.
Q: If you could sit down with your younger self, what is one piece of advice you would share?
A: I would tell my younger self to always keep your eyes out for opportunities and take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. Excuses will always be there, but opportunities won’t.
Q: What’s something you do outside of work that would surprise your co-workers and clients?
A: This may not be a surprise to those people who personally know me, but I love spending quality time with my family during my time off.
Q: What quote keeps you inspired in your day-to-day life?
A: “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” — Winston S. Churchill
