With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Debbie Sigmon has built a career centered on dedication, loyalty, and genuinely caring for her clients. Her journey into insurance began when a friend told her about an open position, and she quickly discovered a career she could grow and thrive in. Debbie believes that truly caring about the insured and their business is one of the most important parts of her role, and her willingness to go the extra mile has helped her build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
Debbie credits her father for teaching her the importance of a strong work ethic and loyalty, values that continue to guide her today. She describes her approach to teamwork in three words: honest, hardworking, and reliable qualities she believes are essential to any successful team. One of her proudest accomplishments is remaining committed to the insurance industry for more than three decades, demonstrating her perseverance and belief in never giving up. Even today, Debbie continues to embrace new challenges, including learning an entirely new software program, proving that there is always an opportunity to learn and grow.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys gardening, spending time with her grandchild, and taking on projects around the house. Her positive attitude, dedication to her customers, and willingness to do whatever it takes to make them happy are qualities that not only define her approach to work but also inspire those around her. After more than 30 years in the industry, Debbie continues to bring the same commitment and enthusiasm to her role, making her a valued and dependable member of the team.

A friend told me about an insurance position opening.
2. In what ways do you think your unique background or experiences contribute to your success in your role?
Truly caring about the insured and his/her business.

3. Can you share a particularly challenging situation you faced in your career and how you overcame it?
Leasing an entirely new software program at age 66 has been very challenging, but I am learning daily. There is always something new to learn in the insurance industry.
4. If you could describe your approach to teamwork in three words, what would they be and why?
Honesty, Hardworking, Reliable. Without these, there is no team.
5. What do you think sets you apart, and how does it benefit your team?
My willingness to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy, and it inspires my team to do the same.
6. Who has been the biggest influence or mentor in your life, and what valuable lessons have you learned from them?
My father, learned his strong work ethics and loyalty.
7. What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career so far, and what did it teach you?
Consistency and loyalty to stay in this industry for 30 plus years. Don’t ever give up.
8. What are some hobbies you do outside of work that you enjoy?
Gardening, spending time with my grandchild and projects around the house.
