At Inszone Insurance Services, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as the work we do in the office. Through our Charitable Time Off (CTO) program, Inszone employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support the non-profit organizations that mean the most to them. This month, we are proud to highlight our Orem team, who used their CTO to spend a day volunteering at Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry!
Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry is a 100 percent privately funded non-profit providing temporary food assistance and self-reliance resources to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Utah County. The first location was founded in June 2010, inspired by the account of Tabitha in Acts 9:36-42. Like Tabitha, the founders wanted to help the food insecure in their own community. Today, the organization serves thousands of families throughout the southern part of Utah County, collecting and distributing food, household items, and clothing free of charge, and connecting people with resources that help them get back on their feet.

On September 18th, a group of Inszone employees spent the day at the pantry pitching in wherever they were needed. The team helped sort incoming food donations, checked items against expiration dates to make sure everything distributed was safe, packaged kits, stocked shelves, and helped clean and organize the space. Tabitha’s Way depends on volunteers year-round to keep donations moving from the loading dock to the families who need them, and this was hands-on work that made a direct difference.
Alyxandria Bowen, Brian Bowen, Daxten Bowen, James Sanderson, Lisa Garner, Rebecca Fisher, and Stacie Howlett all took part, compiling food and supplies for those in need.
What stood out across the team was how close to home this work hits. For several volunteers, the pantry serves the very neighborhoods they live in. Others have worked alongside the organization for years through church events and with their families, and one team member has a longtime personal connection to one of the pantry’s co-founders. Whether they were returning volunteers or stepping in for the first time, everyone came away with a stronger sense of what the organization means to Utah County.

“This is an organization that helps our own community specifically,” Rebecca shared. “I have been to presentations and it’s inspiring what they do.”
“It directly serves the locals in need,” Stacie added. “It’s great to help anyone in need, but knowing it serves those in the immediate area is meaningful as a community!”
We are incredibly proud of this team for showing up together and giving their time to an organization that keeps families fed. Thank you all for representing Inszone’s core values and making a real difference right where you live!
