Cynthia Southerland is a Branch Manager at Inszone Insurance Services, joining the company in October 2024 after the merger with Southerland & Associates. With over 40 years of experience in the insurance and risk assessment field, Cynthia has dedicated her career to helping individuals and businesses find the best solutions for their financial and insurance needs. She offers a wide range of personal and business insurance services, along with financial consulting strategies. Cynthia earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Her educational background enables her to explain the complexities of the insurance and financial industry in terms that her clients can easily understand. Through hands-on experience, she gained a deep understanding of the industry, starting as a customer service representative and assistant to agents. Cynthia later earned her Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Small Group Specialist (SGS) designations, and she continues her education each year to provide the best resources for her clients.
Cynthia’s passion for helping and educating others is a key aspect of her work. In 1983, she founded Southerland & Associates, a full-service independent insurance agency, where she continued to teach and advocate for her clients. She considers herself a teacher at heart, now helping “big kids” with their insurance, risk management, and financial planning needs. Cynthia takes great pride in listening closely to her clients, ensuring that she finds the right solutions for each individual and business. Her vast knowledge and client-first approach make her an invaluable asset to her team and to the clients she serves.
In her free time, Cynthia enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, and traveling. She also finds fulfillment in delivering meals to the elderly, and fostering dogs and cats through Heart of Texas Lab Rescue and P.A.W.S. Additionally, Cynthia is a Founding Member and a past Board Director and Advisory Board member for Texas Women in Business (TWIB), a non-profit organization supporting women in business.
