This Employee Spotlight series aims to celebrate success and highlight the talented individuals we have at Inszone. This month, please join us in congratulating Joanne Lee, our Employee Spotlight for the month of February!
Joanne Lee is a Commercial Lines Account Manager at Inszone Insurance Services, joining Inszone in December 2021 after the merger with Desert Mountain Insurance Services, Inc. In 2019, she received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish and spent a few years working directly in the healthcare industry. Joanne is dedicated to helping her clients understand what options are available and to ensure them that their investments and assets are properly protected in the event of an emergency.
Joanne plans to continue expanding her knowledge in the complex world of insurance and is eager to step up to the challenge of finding the best protection plans to fit her clients’ unique needs. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese which gives her the opportunity to assist Chinese-speaking business owners and individuals as well.
We asked Joanne’s supervisor to share some words, and the news spread from there. Multiple levels of leadership had wonderful things to say about her.

To get to know more about Joanne, we asked her a couple of questions about herself and her time in the insurance world:
Q: How did you get into the insurance industry?
A: I was originally planning to go to PA school or medical school and was working in the hospital to get more patient care experience. My unit was one of the first ones to convert to COVID care and after a full year, I decided I wanted to take a break. I found medical malpractice insurance and thought it was a good segue and have been here ever since.
Q: What do you think has made your insurance career successful?
A: My primary focus is malpractice insurance, and I came in with some previous industry experience, so it helped decrease the learning curve. I also love reading and learning, so I think that has helped me be resourceful when it comes to keeping up with the ever-changing industry and finding a solution for my clients.
Q: If you were not in insurance, what would you like to be doing?
A: I always wanted to be either a lawyer or a healthcare professional so hopefully it would have been one of those!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time within the insurance industry?
A: Malpractice and professional lines are kind of niche in the insurance industry, so I would love to help grow this department at Inszone and build up a powerhouse.
Q: What do you do in your personal time?
A: I like to play the piano, read, cook the same 5 recipes, try to make myself exercise more, and spend time with my family and friends.
Q: What made you want to work here at Inszone?
A: I believe in lifelong learning and growth, and Inszone is a company that is growing rapidly with big aspirations.
Q: Can you share with us a personal quote that you live by?
A: There are a lot of things that we cannot control, so instead of spending energy there, focus on how you choose to let them affect you.
